On 29 August, Ambassador Qian Minjian attended and delivered an address at the 2026 All‑Swiss Chinese Students and Scholars Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held in Bern, Switzerland.

Ambassador Qian pointed out that this year marks the 10‑th anniversary of the establishment of the China‑Switzerland Innovative Strategic Partnership. China and Switzerland have recently successfully concluded negotiations on the upgraded Free‑Trade Agreement, which will surely foster a more open environment for bilateral science‑technology innovation collaboration, talent exchange and commercialization of research outcomes. He expressed the hope that Chinese students and scholars across Switzerland will give full play to their unique strengths in cross‑sector engagement and resource integration, take an active part in scientific and technological research as well as in‑depth industry‑university‑research cooperation, and advance the sharing of innovation resources, complementation of strengths and mutually‑beneficial win‑win outcomes between the two countries.
