On 15 September 2025, Mr. Qian Minjian, Ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland, attended the Europe-China Youth Peace Forum in Geneva. The event was also attended by Mr. Shen Jian, Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, Ms. Li Yihong, Chargé d'Affaires of Permanent Mission of China to the World Trade Organization, Mr. Zhang Xiangchen, Deputy Director General of WTO, Ms. Bokonga, senior UN correspondent, and over a hundred youth representatives from European countries.

Ambassador Qian emphasized that China's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression constituted a vital part of the World Anti-Fascist War,making historic contributions to the global victory over fascism. President Xi Jinping put forward the Global Governance Initiative (GGI). This initiative points the right way forward to build a more just and equitable global governance system. He called upon China and Switzerland, as well as China and EU, to jointly safeguard the post-war international order and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Youth delegates engaged in discussions on the history of World War II and peace education, calling for enhanced cultural exchanges and the resolution of disputes through dialogue. The forum issued a peace declaration, calling for adherence to the initiative of a community with a shared future for mankind and the promotion of common prosperity and development among all nations.
