Switzerland is a garden-like land nestled among the Alps, a place where nature and human activities have best relationship as Jean-Jacques Rousseau described, a nation renowned for its enterprising spirit of innovation and meticulous craftsmanship, a country that has long played a unique role on the international stage with its tradition of neutrality.

The friendship between China and Switzerland has a long history. Switzerland was one of the first Western countries to recognize the People's Republic of China. Since their establishment of diplomatic relations in 1950, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of two countries, China and Switzerland have consistently upheld mutual respect and trust, contributed to each other's success, and forged an Innovative Strategic Partnership, setting an exemplary model of friendship and cooperation between countries of different sizes, social systems and development stages.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland. The Chinese Embassy in Switzerland and I will continuously promote our bilateral relations to achieve greater progress on the basis of equality, innovation and win-win cooperation, and bring more benefits to both countries and peoples.
