On August 26, Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland Qian Minjian met with Martina Hirayama, State Secretary of the Swiss Federal Department of Education, Research and Innovation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on educational, scientific and technological cooperation between China and Switzerland.

Ambassador Qian stated that China and Switzerland have achieved remarkable results in educational, scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, expressing hope that both sides would continue efforts to deepen practical collaboration and strengthen the foundation of the Sino-Swiss innovative partnership.

State Secretary Hirayama congratulated Ambassador Qian on assuming the new role and stated that Switzerland is willing to work with China to enrich and expand the substance of cooperation in related fields, achieve mutual benefits, and continuously elevate bilateral relations to new heights.
