Introductions of Diplomatic, Service, Courtesy visa

Diplomatic passport and service passport holders can apply Chinese visa directly from Chinese embassy without appointment.
Diplomatic and service visas are issued for the government officers, diplomats, consular officers and their accompanying spouses and minor children, who are holding diplomatic passport, service passport, or UNLP passport (red or blue) , traveling to China for official visit or transit. Courtesy visa is issued to the above passport holders who travel to China for private reasons such as tourism, family visit or transit.
List of required documents:
1. Original passport and copy of passport information page
2. Copy of Swiss permit for non-Swiss citizen
3. One completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken color passport photo (bare-head, full face) against a light white background attached
- Diplomatic Verbal Note or official letter from relevant country's embassy or general consulate or International organization in Switzerland;
- Verbal Note from relevant country's embassy or general consulate or International organization in China;
- Invitation letter from relevant Chinese government department.
