Visa for Macao SAR

- Swiss citizen:
1. Swiss citizen holding a Swiss passport may travel to Macao SAR visa-free for a short visit or tourism no more than 90 days.
 
-Non-Swiss citizen:
1. Please check the visa requirements or visa-free arrangements for non-Swiss citizen by visiting the website of Macao SAR Public Security Police Force.
 
2. How to apply for a Macao SAR visa:
a) You may apply for a Visa-upon-arrival in Macao SAR (some exclusions apply, check the website of Macao SAR Public Security Police Force for detailed info); or submit your application in person to Chinese Embassy; or directly contact the Immigration service of Macao SAR Public Security Police Force.
 
3. Require documents:
a) Passport: Original Passport valid more than 6 months with blank page and copy of the information page
b) Application form and photo: Full fill the visa application form of Macao and also 1 color photo
c) Copy of Swiss permit (B, C, G, L)
d) Supporting documents according to the purpose of trip (please check the website of Macao SAR Public Security Police Force).
 
4. Processing time:
a) Entry visa can be issued directly by Chinese Embassy, processing time will be 4 working days.
b) Application which has to be referred to Macao SAR Public Security Police Force will take minimum10 days, no confirmed processing time.
 
5. Fee:
a) If you apply for a Visa-upon-arrival or submit your application directly to Macao SAR Public Security Police Force, you could follow their instructions and make the payment.
b) If you submit your application to the Chinese embassy, the visa fee is 45CHF (4 working days).
c) If your application needs to be referred to Macao SAR Public Security Police Force for processing, you are required to pay a Communication Fee of CHF20 to the Embassy prior to submission of your application, in addition to the Macao SAR visa fee which is charged once your visa is approved.
 
 
-Citizens of Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam should apply a visa before traveling to Macao, Visa-upon-arrival is no longer applicable to these nationals since 1 July 2010. However, holders of a diplomatic passport may still enjoy visa-free access to Macao.
